As part of Startup Weekend in Boulder, and any city really, getting sponsorships is key to running a successful event. As organizers, we hustle and bustle to get the word out and talk with different businesses that we think would be a good fit for the event and who are excited to join together. That being said, we think we have some pretty awesome sponsors this year and would like to give a shout out to everyone.
SendGrid: SendGrid is your local email deliverability, many of you may know of them as coming out of the TechStars class of 2009 and since then growing up in Boulder and Denver. They have been a huge supporter of StartupWeekend Boulder and we are pleased to have them involved with us.
TechStars: TechStars, the name speaks for itself, a great program helping a few select start ups turn an idea into something amazing. They are donating their space for our use for the weekend and we are super excited to be in the bunker that so many companies come out of.
Zayo: Zayo is a huge local success, over the past five years they have become one of the fastest growing national providers of fiber-based Bandwidth Infrastructure and carrier-neutral colocation products. Zayo has been a critical part of StartupWeekend and provided a major role in supporting the event to be a success.
Quick Left: One of the local Boulder Dev shops, Quick Left is a great participant in the local startup community and is always around to help people out. They are not only helping with sponsorship, but also sending some of their amazing people out as coaches for the weekend.
Pivot Desk: They are also a local company, who help startups find office space as well as hoost companies that have space already. We are stoked to have them on as sponsor for prizes as well as support!
Venture: A unique (and local!) legal advisory firm that assists entrepreneurs when they are first starting out and figuring out what legal aspects they need to take care of. Venture also is donating some legal advice as prize to the winning teams!
Atlas Purveyors: Ahh, our friendly coffee spot in Boulder. Many of you may venture here for #BOCC (Boulder Open Coffee Club) where every other Tuesday mornings, we cram as many Boulderites as we can to discuss tech news among other things. Atlas is a great community sponsor and we are so excited to announce that they will be providing our coffee refreshments throughout the weekend.
Avery Brewing Company: Another fun spot, Avery Brewing is not in the hub of Boulder, but a nice bike ride away and you are set! Avery will be providing us with some of their delicious beers this weekend, which we couldn’t be more thankful for! Sunday we will all definitely need it to come down off our coffee buzzes.
23rd Studios: A fun Boulder-based company, these guys specialize in cinematography, graphic and web design as well as photography. They will be providing us with video throughout the weekend so others can relive the weekend, or do so vicariously through all our awesome participants!
Technical Integrity: A Denver-based company, these guys help place you in jobs all over the place. They are a great partner to work with on helping you find the perfect place you want to work without you going to individual businesses. They are helping us out throughout the weekend and (spoiler!) one of their very own will be a judge at the end…
Built in Denver: This Denver-based company provides a great tool for finding out happenings for Denver companies, job postings as well as giving businesses the ability to post third party onto their site for additional exposure. They will be working throughout the event providing media coverage.
The UpStart: Formerly know as Techkne, Wendy Norris heads this company up and does a fantastic job in covering the media in Tech news. She will be covering the weekend from top to bottom on all the happenings, be sure to watch both Twitter feeds for all the latest and greatest!
Scrib: Co-Working space, we all love, know and need it! If you don’t have a dedicated spot to work, or if you just need a break from your day to day office, Scribs is an awesome place to go get your work on. They will be providing some great space to some winners, which I think it’s safe to say, all us organizers are jealous of!
Commerce Kitchen: A Denver-based company, Commerce Kitchen is a fully integrated web development shop as well as SEO and inbound marketing tactics. They are a sponsor as well as provider of the sweet logo, thanks to their inhouse graphic designer, Alex Hoffman. We may be seeing one of these folks for a judge as well…
Boulder Digital Arts: Is a community resource for technology and creative professionals working in film/video, web/mobile, photography and graphic design! THey helped us promote this event and are offering some cool prizes. A one-month free reserved desk (value $300). Four packages, each package including one BDA annual membership, and one workshop of their choice (value $100). In addition, that “group” of four people could also trade in all four of their workshops and get just one all-day hands-on class for just one of their group.
Phew! We are still getting some more sponsors here and there, so be sure to watch our website for new company names and our Twitter feed to see what the latest and greatest is! We are really looking forward to this event and couldn’t do it without or sponsors or our awesome participants. We only have a few tickets left, so if you were waiting, be sure to hop on and grab yours!
